There is a grid divided into two equal parts, each containing multiple squares, one side is yours, and the other is your opponent’s. Outside are the hero cards, each corresponding to a hero with different weapons, fighting styles, and stats. Place your heroes on the battlefield squares, choose the right positions to start showing off each character’s talents and pressure the enemy to the maximum. Depending on the game mode, within the allowed time limit (or not, depending on the game mode), the side that runs out of cards first will lose, and vice versa.

Starting in Tavern Rumble, you only have a few basic mercenary cards. Use these soldiers to start fighting, earn a few modest initial achievements. Accumulate achievements, collect spoils of war, and the cards in your hand will become stronger day by day, unlocking new character cards.
