• Layer: A symbol of a paper file. You can create multiple layers and draw independent details on those layers without affecting other layers.
• Auxiliary line: A symbol of a checkered shape. Creates a grid on the screen, which can be turned on and off and adjusted in size and shape. Very useful when you need to draw precisely or copy a picture.
• Select: A symbol of a rope. Select a specified area, when drawing, only that area can be drawn, the area outside the area will not be affected, avoiding the pen stroke from encroaching on unwanted areas.
• Smear: A symbol of an index finger. Works like the way you use your finger to move into an area of ​​​​not-yet-dry paint in real life. The affected areas of color will spread in the specified direction, and can be blended into the adjacent area. Suitable for blending adjacent areas of color and creating an intermediate area, giving a smooth feeling between the areas of color.
• Blur (dilute color): Water drop symbol. Works like the way you drop color solvent into a real-life color area. The affected color area will be lighter and fade out. Suitable for creating effects such as glow, shadow.
• Deform (change shape): Square grid symbol. Helps you adjust the shape of the selected area without having to erase and redraw.
• Distort (3D distortion): Distorted quadrilateral symbol. Suitable when you have drawn an object in the front direction, then want to adjust the tilt forward or backward to match the perspective.
• Reference (display sample image): Picture image symbol. You can choose an image from your phone as a sample, displayed on the screen while drawing. This feature helps you avoid having to exit the application to see the sample image and then return to the application to draw.

Rich brush set

HiPaint provides you with 90 different brush tips, from simple ones like “pencil”, “brush”, “spray gun” to complex ones like “pattern”, “flower”, “star”. In addition, you can create your own brush tip by using the Import Assets –> Import Brushes feature, then select a picture in your device. The brush in HiPaint is very compatible with the brushes on mid-range and high-end phones. The application can recognize up to 8000 pressure levels from the brush, allowing you to comfortably draw light and bold lines. However, even if you don’t have a brush, as long as you adjust your finger speed appropriately when drawing, you can still draw light and bold lines.

3D features

3D is a very unique feature that HiPaint offers, very few drawing applications have this feature. You can add a 3D model by using the Import Assets -> Import Models feature. After adding it to the drawing page, you can move, rotate, and resize it as you like. In addition, the application also has the feature of adding borders to your model, giving the model a cartoon style like characters in games like Genshin Impact or Wuthering Waves.

Hand-drawn animation feature

With HiPaint, by tapping the “Create Animation” button on the interface, you can use the hand-drawn animation feature. Tap the “+” button to create another frame, you can freely draw on each frame without affecting the other frames. The frame created later will be located to the right of the previously created frames. You can hold a frame and drag it left or right to move the frame position.

Tap once to select the frame to draw. Tap twice, the screen will display a feature selection box including:

• Duplicate: Duplicate the frame.
• Delete: Delete the frame.
• Hold Duration: Extend the time the frame is displayed for a period of time before moving to the next frame.

The frame on the leftmost side has a “Background” toggle, and will always be displayed at the bottom of all other frames. Conversely, the frame on the left with a “Foreground” toggle will always be displayed at the top of all frames.

Additionally, the app offers a few notable animation support features as follows:

• Loop: Loop the animation from start to finish and repeat.
• Ping-pong: Loop the animation from start to finish, then from end to start, then repeat.
• One Shot: Loop once, run the animation from start to finish and then stop
• Frames/Sec: Run the animation at how many frames per second, the higher the number the smoother the animation, but it will require more frames to be drawn.
• Ghost: Still display the previous frame as a shadow, allowing you to draw the current frame in sync with the previous frame without rewinding.
• Count: After how many frames the ghosts of previous frames will disappear.
• Color: The color of the ghost.

Time-lapse – Replay feature

Recording the drawing process is a very popular feature among digital artists. If you are a fan of painting, you must have seen many videos sharing the process of completing the work of artists on YouTube or TikTok. Now with HiPaint, you do not need any recording software, just turn on the Time-lapse Replay feature, the application will automatically record your entire drawing process as a video.
