The simple story

Meteorfall: Journeys opens a world with many strange monsters and magic. With thousands of years of history and development, since the birth of the world fire Meteorfall, there have been outstanding developments. Animals have become much smarter and stronger. Here there is a being called a Lich, or a force by that name. The Lich is plotting to destroy the land of Meteorfall, absorbing all the matter there. Therefore, the Lich must be stopped, someone must stand up against the Lich or everyone will die.

As a talking bear with a helmet and a chipped sword, you will set out to fight against the Lich. This fighting adventure is quite strange, although you have a sword in your hand, you will have to use cards to fight. With a main card type and attack and defense cards, this will be an extremely exciting adventure. On the way to conquer different areas, there will be many interesting things waiting for you.

At the beginning of Meteorfall: Journeys, you will have the right to choose one of six main cards. These are characters such as the warrior Bruno, the magician Greybeard, the thief Mischief, the nun Rose, the vampire Muldorf and the couple Varfa & Orhu. After making your choice, your journey will begin.

It will take you about 10-20 days to reach the first location. Every day you can be attacked by monsters or encounter blacksmiths or treasures. Fighting monsters with key cards will help you gain experience and level up. And blacksmiths and treasure chests will give you more power as well as new cards. From here you can freely create new ways to play as well as encounter monsters with quite entertaining shapes.

Magic cards

As I said above, Meteorfall: Journeys has six main cards after the characters: Bruno, Greybeard, Mischief, Rose, Muldorf and Varfa & Orhu. Each of them, or more precisely, each card will have an accompanying deck. Among them, there are attack and defense cards along with effect cards. Usually when you first start playing you can only own attack and defense cards. Effect cards will appear when you level up or receive them in treasure chests.

Of course, the monster side also owns similar cards, every time you move you will often be attacked by monsters. You have the option to attack or run away by swiping the monster card right or left. If you go left, you will have to face the monster and fight to the end, otherwise you will have a chance to escape and face the next monster. Even if you run away, at the end of your path is a powerful Boss waiting.

Battle of cards

Entering the battle of Meteorfall: Journeys, you will see that the main forces of both sides will appear on the table, facing each other head-on. These key cards have two main stats including HP and Stamina. I don’t have to explain much about HP, it is the character’s blood. Stamina is the physical strength that allows you to use attack or defense cards.

Each side owns a different deck of cards but the cards all have similar uses divided into attack, defense and effect cards. Usually, attack or defense cards will consume a certain amount of Stamina. If you run out of Stamina, you will not be able to use these cards anymore. You can only increase Stamina by skipping a turn (swiping a card left) and recovering four Stamina.

Speaking of turns, I almost forgot to mention it. When fighting monsters, you will have about four consecutive turns, meaning four opportunities to use cards. Because Stamina is limited, you can rarely use all four attack or defense cards. If not this turn, then the next turn you will have to discard cards to restore Stamina. Luckily for you, the monsters you face have a modest number of turns, except for the Boss, so you will easily overcome them and level up.
