Lifeline’s script was written by famous writer Dave Justus (Fables: The Wolf Among Us), which is an eloquent testament to the depth and vast interactivity throughout the story. A good background story and interesting progression with content, of course, is not everything, but it will definitely be a good foundation to create a good game.

Introduce about Lifeline

Deep, mysterious fantasy story created by famous writer Dave Justus!

Fantasy story written by talented people

Novelist Dave Justus, the man behind the success of Fables: The Wolf Among Us, is responsible for writing all the content, development and dialogue in the fantasy story called Lifeline. You can be guaranteed a branching interactive game that is deep, logical, coherent, and full of unpredictable difficulties.

Lifeline is a fantasy story, with many branches, revolving around the will to survive in the face of harsh loneliness. Every moment in the game, you are stuck between life and death. Consequences or results come very quickly from the player’s seemingly small previous decisions.

Background

At the beginning of a fascinating interactive story called Lifeline, there was a terrible accident. A spaceship suddenly makes an unwanted landing on an unfamiliar moon. In the dark, quiet space where there seems to be no life or hope, there is only one small person left alive, who is also the ONLY main character of this game. You are Taylor, a man who will have to survive on an alien planet and the terrifying loneliness that is about to come.

The other members of the crew seem to have perished, or been lost somewhere on this distant planet. You also can’t know what happened to everyone. I only know that what I need to do most urgently right now is to contact the control room on Earth. And of course, in this situation, only this fragile connection can bring hope to escape from here.

What role do you play in this game of life and death?

The player does not play as Taylor, but will play as the only person on the ground who can contact Taylor through the short message lines of the ship’s working messaging device. Every question-and-answer message flow back and forth between Taylor and you happens in real time.

You understand that Taylor is trying to his last breath to live and return. And you, trying every millisecond to send a message to give Taylor the necessary instructions.

The deeper you go, the harder it is to decide

Through short messages, sometimes interrupted by signal interference, you begin to delve into the previous moments of the story and understand what happened to the ill-fated spaceship. Surprisingly, the more you know about past events, your attitude, perspective and choices for Taylor may gradually change.

But no matter what, every action and every decision you make at each moment, no matter how simple, can have a profound impact on Taylor’s life as well as the overall fate of the stricken spaceship.

Variables come in each message line. Will you trust your intuition or choose to listen to reason and facts? Do you choose to use your heart to analyze logical events or use your mind to judge emotional decisions? Either way can lead to results or consequences. Most importantly, when playing Lifeline, you feel like you have done your best and thought as thoroughly as possible. That’s it. The outcome sometimes depends on many other situations.

Interactive game via text message

Other interactive story games are often presented in the form of traditional storytelling and then embedded in it are situations or questions that force the player to make choices. In Lifeline, you will text continuously day and night with Taylor, the only person still alive in a crashed spaceship.

During the process of texting back and forth with Taylor, you will help, give necessary instructions, encourage morale, and clarify some technical specifications for Taylor. A lot of things will have to be done via text message. The goal is to help Taylor find a way to repair the ship, survive as long as possible and find a way to return to Earth.

Destroying our mind

Encapsulated in just a few lines of messages, you will have to understand and make many important decisions. A little recklessness could cause both the spacecraft and Taylor to perish on a strange planet. Lifeline therefore requires players to think hard, follow every fact and word on the screen from Taylor. At the same time, consider the structure and logic puzzles from the spacecraft structure to help Taylor troubleshoot and repair the ship’s return.

Always putting players under terrible pressure, Lifeline is therefore extremely quiet in terms of image and sound, but has enough power to destroy the player’s inner self and mind, in the most unexpected way.

My advice is to play Lifeline when you are most alert during the day. Rarely is there an interactive story game that makes you think and consider every inch like that. But playing to have a thrilling experience exploding your chest in an extremely quiet setting like this is also very good, guys.
